I tend to focus all my attention on one tree.
I want to grow one perfect tree.
Then I evaluate it, judge it, hate it and eventually cut it down. Leaving me with nothing.
When you see a forest you’re overwhelmed with beauty, and power, and awe, but the forest only consists of singular trees. All which are imperfect.
Crooked, old, broken, rotten, dead, and burnt, but that’s not what you see. You see the bigger picture.
Stop focusing on one tree and start planting a whole forest
It won’t be perfect, finish it and move on to the next. It’ll all come together in the end
